It’s easy to say that you’re “passionate about food,” but what really makes OGC stand out is that folks understand that it’s not just about our relationship to food, but our ties to the people who grow it and everyone’s connection to the environment. JoJo shares that she feels pretty lucky to know coworkers value how important it is to challenge each other to think about accessibility to food and its impact on human health and the environment. Working at OGC reminds JoJo that we all have a part to play, and she values being surrounded by people that “get it.”

BUYER

Jess’s number one goal at OGC is to support our growers and find homes for all their incredible organic produce. Work seems easy when it’s fun, and Jess certainly gets a kick out of produce. It’s the dynamic atmosphere at OGC that keeps him engaged and loving it. From the range and variety in what we offer and the partnership with growers to navigate the challenges of bringing produce to market, there’s always something exciting happening. Jess is thrilled to work alongside coworkers with a common interest in organic produce!

DRIVER

Before joining OGC as one of our outstanding drivers, Olea was a ballerina, an engineer, a rideshare driver and property manager. This powerhouse is also a textile artist, Balkan folklore enthusiast, Bulgarian flautist and can do some damage in the kitchen, too! The list of things that Olea loves about her role as a driver is long, but near the top is that time behind the wheel allows her to consume plenty of audio media and think creatively.

WAREHOUSER III

Passionate about music, Shawn’s taste has a broad range from classical, to bluegrass and classic rock. But his biggest love is metal. A writer and producer, Shawn mixes his own music in his home studio. Shawn brings that same passion for music to work and is appreciated by his coworkers for being methodical, reliable and a hard worker who is known to complete a project and then ask, “what’s next?” When asked what makes his job at OGC great, Shawn is quick to answer: “the people.”

QUALITY ASSURANCE III

Working on the Quality Assurance team has opened Charlie’s world to the bounty of beautiful produce coming and going from OGC’s facility daily. They readily admit that OGC has inspired a passion and love of produce they never had before. Outside of work Charlie enjoys sharing knowledge garnered on the job with friends and family alike. Charlie's favorite part of each day is stocking the Coworker Produce Store with everything new and exciting for their peers to try.

SENIOR ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

A self-proclaimed produce nerd especially fanatical about berries and apples, Sara loves to geek out! From fruit and veggie facts to exploring new varieties and stories about growers and breeders trying to solve problems and find new flavors, there’s plenty about produce that excites Sara. When away from the Sales desk, she hikes with her dog and tackles the seemingly never-ending list of to-dos in her garden. 

DRIVER

Sitting at a desk isn’t for Mike. But he does light up when sharing his experience as an OGC driver, especially visiting customers and the opportunities it gives him to act as a liaison between stores and our Sales team. He plays the role well and enjoys passing knowledge along to other drivers in his position as a Trainer. Mike is a fantastic asset to the Transportation department!

WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Isidro shares that OGC’s culture of warmth and gratitude is the number one reason he’s excited to come to work every day. Building beautifully stacked boards alongside coworkers is a close second. Knowing that he and his team are essential in getting fresh, organic produce to the people motivates Isidro to lead with efficiency and joy.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

It’s the family atmosphere at OGC that Jose values most. The mutual respect for one another combined with a love for organic produce brings coworkers together and makes for excellent collaboration. Each team is essential to getting organic produce to the people. Jose is proud to lead his team and coordinate with others to ensure that customers receive the highest quality fruits and vegetables possible!

QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR

Isabelle’s experience as a produce buyer for a local grocery store and working on a small organic farm helped instill the highest standards for quality. She knows first-hand how much work goes into getting fresh produce from farm to customers. Isabelle loves being surrounded by passionate produce folks, and one of her favorite parts about working on OGC’s Quality Assurance team is sampling and sharing phenomenal fruits and veggies! 

ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

Ed shares that his favorite time of year for produce is the fall when piles of colorful peppers, squash, tomatoes and apples all converge in beautiful plentitude on display racks. With a career in produce that goes back 30 years, Ed has seen many local farms come and go and witnessed the evolution of the organic industry. Among the many things he loves about working in produce, it’s food’s ability to bring people together.

DRIVER

For decades, Martin has been a member of the Transportation department; a team that literally and figuratively keeps OGC moving. A father of two, Martin is extremely proud of his ability to help both of them pay for college. The stability that his long tenure at OGC provides him and his family is something that Martin values deeply and he is proud to represent the company each time he pulls away from the dock!

PRODUCTION LEAD

Carlos has proven himself an invaluable coworker, taking on more responsibilities and leadership roles as time has gone on. As a Production Lead, Carlos draws on the knowledge he picked up in his previous roles to ensure both his success as well as the coworkers he helps lead. Carlos shares that there was so much he didn’t know about produce before working at OGC, but his work allows him opportunities to continually expand his knowledge!

WAREHOUSE LEAD

Ronnie’s love of family and sense of service found a perfect home with OGC when he accepted a Warehouser position. He quickly distinguished himself as a leader which both helped him excel in his career, but also proved to be a valuable asset to his coworkers. Now as a Warehouse Lead, Ronnie’s leadership is effective and well received by his peers; all despite his insistence that he’s very shy!
