Resilient communities need environmental stewardship and a just food system. That's why we're constantly working to make an impact with organic and responsible sourcing, the OGC Mission Fund grant program, gleaning programs and in-kind produce donations.

Community Is at The Core of Who We Are
Every bite of the produce you love comes from farmers. At OGC, we know building a strong organic supply chain takes action. That's why our Mission Fund grants build resiliency from farm to market.
Our commitment to giving back is more than just a good idea, it's written in our bylaws and funded annually by our own success. Every year, we proudly give 2.5% of the profits from every sale to nonprofits and on top of that we award additional profits as grants and in-kind donations to purpose-aligned partners, including the hardworking organic farmers who make it all possible, our customers and nonprofits mentoring growers, fighting for the environment and food security.
We’re supporting organic farming today, just like always, to secure the future of healthy food and the planet for generations to come.

Fair Trade
OGC’s Fair Trade Certified™ grower partners use a rigorous audit system that tracks produce along the supply chain. Fair Trade standards include labor, cost and price protections. Premiums from these sales are given to farm workers to fund special projects like schooling, healthcare and recreational programs that build stronger, healthier communities.

G.R.O.W. Banana
OGC prioritizes sourcing bananas from Organics Unlimited, which helps fund the G.R.O.W. program (Giving Resources and Opportunities to Workers). Thanks to our retail partners’ support, 60 cents of every case of Organics Unlimited brand bananas sold funds vital education and health-related services in banana-growing communities in Mexico.

Ladybug Brand Farm to School Apples
We partner with Northwest growers who provide delicious kid-size organic apples at below-market cost. We offer these apples to customers who commit to donating at least 70% of their profit to neighborhood schools with farm or garden-focused education. More than $50,000 is raised each year.

Equal Exchange
OGC supports Fair Trade, organic, small farmer grown, Equal Exchange avocados that help build mutually beneficial relationships between farmers and shoppers for a more equitable, sustainable world. Nearly $500,000 goes directly to small scale farmers and investments in small scale, organic farming from OGC’s Equal Exchange avocado program every year.
