Field Report: Purple Sprouting Broccoli

Overwintering crops are growing in earnest in fields across the Northwest.

OGC’s Director of Purchasing Mike Neubeck paid a recent visit to the Skagit Valley where our friends at Farias Farm are busy tending their cold-weather crops. Francisco Farias, who worked with Viva Farms incubator program to secure a few acres, is excited to have his first-ever planting of Purple Sprouting Broccoli in the ground. Likewise, OGC is eagerly awaiting the spring when the rewards of their winter-time work will yield delicious results!
