Malika Mangos from Crespo Organic

Creamy, fibreless and incredibly aromatic, these large-size mangos are making their organic market debut in the Northwest!

Organic Malika mangos are a tasty new addition to this summer’s tropical lineup! This large-size variety, originally from India, is now grown in Mexico by our friends at Crespo Organic and can be enjoyed at each stage of ripeness.

Starting out green, firm and tangy, Malika mangos are a great choice for shredding into Thai-inspired salads. Citrus notes at this stage lend a refreshing hit of acid and crisp texture to light, fresh meals.

This mango’s skin takes on a sunny yellow hue and eventually is kissed with an alluring pink blush as it ripens. Malika mangos soften along the way, and their scent and flavor are redolent of melon with delicate floral notes when fully ripe. The deep orange flesh of a ripe Malika mango tastes of honey and citrus. 

Beyond its heady perfume and tantalizing flavor, this mango variety boasts nearly fiberless, creamy flesh.
